With this award, we aim to recognize and celebrate outstanding mentorship in urology. Those mentors who have gone above and beyond to guide, inspire, and support residents throughout their training should be appreciated and celebrated.

All Belgian urology residents are yearly invited to cast their vote for the urologist who, in their eyes, has been an exceptional mentor. This award will be presented at the Belgian Association of Urology (BAU) Annual Conference.

To ensure fair recognition, the award will be presented in two categories:
- University Hospital Mentor - these results will be weighed, based on the yearly count of accepted residents per university
- Teaching (non-university) Hospital Mentor
